Tips for trekking Catinaccio

Even if the route is not particularly challenging, it is always important to be prepared. Wear comfortable waterproof trekking shoes, suitable for mountain trails. Bring a windbreaker to protect yourself from the wind that can be quite strong at altitude. Don’t forget to have water and some snacks to recharge your batteries along the way.

The best time to hike on the Catinaccio is during late spring, summer and early autumn. In these months, the temperatures are mild and the trails are easily accessible. Avoid the colder months, as snow or bad weather could make it more difficult to walk. There are some more fascinating hikes in Val di Fassa and Val Gardena.
